How can quiet time be meaningful and effective?

Firstly, when you are doing your quiet time, clear your mind of all the trouble of this world. God can only speak to you when there's peace, when you are calm, quiet and ready to listen to Him. A time spent with God can only be meaningful if you are filled with excitement to learn what God has to teach you. Otherwise it'll just be a bore. So, do things that will perk yourself up before a quiet time, out in that extra effort for God. To make it effective, pray for revelation before every quiet time.

"I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger."
John 6.35

That's how important quiet time is.
